When I had to replace my (dead) Athlon 64 X2 with a Ryzen 5, I wasn't exactly satisfied. Sure, it was much more performant. However, Athlon used to need no cooling when (almost) idle. This meant that I could e.g. play movies using VDPAU (passively cooled GPU) with practically no noise whatsoever.
Ryzen had a pretty noisy fan even when idle — even worse, it suffered from some kind of resonance when set to "silent" profile. So far a long time I've settled on having some level of fan noise.
A few days ago, I've decided to try something new and set my own fan curve. Now here's a fun fact: I've managed to set it to disable the fan below 50°C — and it just worked. I mean, it doesn't seem to stop it completely but run on low torque that keeps it silent — and that is entirely sufficient to keep it below 50°C when not doing any heavy lifting.
In fact, unless I enable boost, it manages to be quite silent under load as well.

Abstract: The non-vanishing neutrino mass strongly hints the existence of right-handed neutrinos (RHNs), singlets of the standard model (SM). However, they are highly decoupled from the SM and difficult to probe. In this work, we consider the Majorana RHNs from the type-I seesaw mechanism may well mix with the heavy neutral lepton dwelling in certain vector-like lepton (VLL), thus acquiring a sizable electroweak charge. Such a simple scenario yields many interesting consequences, and the imprint on oblique corrections, well expected from the mass splitting between components of VLL by virtue of VLL-RHN mixing, is our focus here. We analytically calculate the Peskin-Takeuchi parameters S, T and U with full details, carefully treating the Majorana loop to obtain the self consistent expressions free of divergence. Then, we constrain on the VLL-RHN system which only gives a sizable $T$ parameter using the PDG-2021 data and CDF-II data, separately, by imposing $T\lesssim{\cal O}(0.1)$. It is found that for the RHN and VLL below the TeV scale, with a properly large mixing, stands in the frontier of the electroweak precision test such as W-boson mass.

Hypernuclear constraints on the existence and lifetime of a deeply bound $H$ dibaryon
We study to what extent the unique observation of $ΛΛ$ hypernuclei by their weak decay into known $Λ$ hypernuclei, with lifetimes of order 10$^{-10}$ s, rules out the existence of a deeply bound doubly-strange (${\cal S}$=$-$2) $H$ dibaryon. Leptogenesis driven by majoron
We propose a leptogenesis scenario where baryon asymmetry generation is assisted by the kinetic motion of the majoron, $J$, in the process of lepton-number violating inverse decays of a right-handed neutrino, $N$. We investigate two distinct scenarios depending on the sources of majoron kinetic motion: 1) the misalignment mechanism, and 2) the kinetic misalignment mechanism.
